Go Play (2023)

$425.00

15x16 Acrylic on Round Wood Slice
A hanging wire is installed on the back. This piece is ready to enjoy!

”Go Play” is a piece about connecting with nature. The painting is inspired by artist Emily Glass’ childhood, full of plant life she found in the woods when she was told to “Go Play”. It is a means of connecting with nature as she always had in her youth.

But this is also interactive in connecting with nature by the handprint that was left untouched. This is the artist’s handprint where she left the wood completely raw so the viewer can connect with nature anytime.

The art is naturally framed by the bark of the wood slice, except for one section that aligns with the outreached handprint, as though it is reaching for the sky!

The wood slice came from a tree that fell during a storm in 2023 at the Harmony Ridge Golf Club in Beaver County, PA.

NOTE: While precautions have been taken to protect this piece, because this is on a real piece of wood, natural deterioration may occur over time. The Artist is not liable for this natural process and assumes the purchaser accepts this without expectation of refunds or repairs. All sales are final.

NOTE: Due to the painting’s size and weight, you will be invoiced separately for the additional cost of shipping once it is priced by the artist. No refunds. Free local pickup is possible in Pittsburgh.
